A little bit about us:
Kimberly has been knitting since her Uncle Gary brought her back a knitting basket from Germany for Christmas when she was 6 years old. She learned to knit from her mother and grandmother. They had to teach her because she followed them around with the knitting basket and pestered them until they did. Learning to spin was the absolutely logical thing to do after reading all the Little House on the Prairie books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Auntie Teddy stepped in with spinning lessons and gave Kimberly her first wheel--an Ashford Traditional single treadle. It was a short trip from there into weaving, quilting, felting and various other fibery arts, but knitting and spinning remain her favorite. Fortunately, her family loves handknits of all kinds and don't mind attending events that involve sheep.
