Vendors-- -The vendors listed below are people/shops we have purchased from and absolutely love. No one has provided any "incentive" for our recommendation. All vendors are hyperlinked. Just click on the store name!
Brooklyn Tweed - American produced wool and Jared Flood. 'Nuff said. http://brooklyntweed.net/about.html
Glass Pens: Michael and Sheila Ernst Finely Crafted Glass - Sheila and Michael craft some of the MOST beautiful glass knitting needles (very sturdy ones), drop spindles and buttons. And other things. But we especially love the buttons. Sheila and Michael vend their gorgeous wares across the country. Any opportunity to visit them in person is time well spent. Not only do their products seem to glow with light from within, but they are extremely charming people just as themselves. Check them out .http://www.glasspens.com/
Hazel Knits - Seattle based indie dyer of some great yarns. Kimberly really loves Hazel Knits sock yarn! Hazel Knits will do international as well as domestic shipping and does take orders online. These yarns are also available in several Seattle area yarn stores as well as California, Washington DC, Texas, Minnesota, Virginia, Maryland, Oregon and Kentucky. See the website for a complete list of retailers. http://www.hazelknits.com/
Huckleberry Knits - Scarlet has an amazing color sense! Not only does she have an etsy shop, but vends frequently at events throughout the Pacific Northwest. She also uses social media well, so be sure to look her up on Facebook and Ravelry! http://www.etsy.com/shop/huckleberryknits
Intrepid Otter - An indie dyer with lots of fun yarns, including self striping sock yarns. We first met her at a local fiber fest, and promptly got sucked in. Need we say more? http://intrepidotter.bigcartel.com/
Lisa Souza Knitwear and Dyeworks - Fabulous yarns (handspun and commerically prepped then hand dyed), Majacraft spinning wheels, beautiful spinning fibers, excellent patterns and . . .well, we could go on and on. One of the best deals on great quality sock yarn around! Lisa vends at many of the larger fiber events across the country as well as retailing online. Periwinkle Sheep Yarn - Kim loves her sock yarn! Available in some brick and mortar stores, so do check out her list. http://www.periwinklesheep.com/
Tolt Yarn and Wool - What a beautiful store, located in rural Carnation, WA. Less than 20 minutes from Issaquah/ Sammamish and 40 minutes from Seattle, it's a perfect escape from the city, yet close enough to couple with other adventures. We highly recommend a visit to Tolt Yarn and Wool, followed by a piece of pie at Remlinger Farms, then a jaunt up to Snoqualmie Falls. Are there skiers in your family? Send them up to Steven's Pass while you relax at Tolt! It will be a day well spent that still leaves you with time to relax or do a couple errands/ chores. The shop is well organized, carries an outstanding variety of price ranges, good quantities of colors, and excellent quality materials. http://toltyarnandwool.com/
